Study #455 Kingdom: The Cry Of The Human Heart And Then The Cry Of The New Inner Man

In each generation there seems to be a crying out from within man for something real but in an unknown realm. Now the cry is NO Longer for something from this earth realm. Most of us now know that NOTHING from this natural realm will satisfy this intrinsic need of man. Something is inherent within man that knows there is something real that is presently outside of man that needs to be experienced internally by man. In the last several studies we have identified that mystery as the Kingdom of God. The primary barrier to participating in the Kingdom Realms is our lack of fully experiencing the New Covenant.

For example, John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

These three primary births are provided by the New Covenant experience. Without at least these three primary births there is no access to the Kingdom dimension. Of course there is an inner crying out for these three births BEFORE we can begin with the major preparation for the Kingdom Government of God as our practical experience. For example; until God puts His Laws into our minds and writes them upon our heart we are lacking the basic discipline of the Kingdom. Why? Because the Kingdom Government has LAWS. These LAWS are Not, however, written on stone or in a book nor upon the church door but within man. For that reason there is no human mediator nor human advocate to negotiate these LAWS. This means there is supposed to be direct Government between God and man (the believer) with no one to stand between them. The priesthood of the Old Covenant was appointed to stand before God in behalf of the people and then to stand before the people in behalf of God. This system was discarded because it could not perfect anyone.

Only the New Covenant provision and the experience of His Kingdom Government within will ever satisfy the crying out of the inner man for ultimate reality. This may oversimplify the ultimate purpose of God but we must begin somewhere. If we actually read the scriptures, we will soon discover that God’s purpose for man is NOT just to save him from hell but to prepare man to rule over all the works of His hands.

We really can find out very little of our current situation by examining from where we came or how we got to this place in our Christian Life. If we don’t have a clear picture of where we are going and what that means in relation to our maturity we will not be able to evaluate where we are presently. For example; if we think this is all there is and we have already arrived at God’s Eternal Purpose we will seek for nothing more. Neither the human heart nor the new heart will cry out to God for some undefinable “more.” Defining the “more” depends upon how we see the Kingdom as a present reality or as some future idealism.

When I try to act as a diagnostician and try to define and evaluate the “sickness in the visible church” I find myself standing outside just as an observer and not as a participant. Then I realize that God has NOT made me the judge of what is wrong. However, then we only deal with symptoms of the illness and not the cause of the illness. No mater how much we know or write about the Kingdom we cannot make anyone do anything or know anything. We can make anyone “BE” anything. Defining the problem without offering some solution to the problem is not helpful. Offering a solution to someone who sees NO problem is a waste of time. For that reason it is necessary to accurately describe the “end of our salvation” or the “final Salvation” and the “perfection” of God’s purpose. This we have attempted to do over the years but now we have concluded that God has a definite way to get us to the end of His plan. This is ONLY possible by the provision of the New Covenant and that was the theme of the last papers. Defining the fulness of the “Promise of the Father” and the practical application of these stages of growth requires more than an overview.

Luke 24:49 “And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

Act 1:4 And gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait

for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me;

Act 2:33 “Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear.

Act 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 “For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself.”

Trying to define the “Promise of the Father” from four verses will generally lead us to some shallow understanding of the magnitude of what God has “PROMISED.” For example; “I will pour out of My Spirit” is just one aspect of the New Covenant which promises “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk.” There are many other parts to the PROMISE. The “promise” unfolds through out the New Testament.

Psalm 8:3 When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that Thou dost take thought of him? And the son of man, that Thou dost care for him? 5 Yet Thou hast made him a little lower than God, And dost crown him with glory and majesty! 6 Thou dost make him to rule over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet, 7 All sheep and oxen, And also the beasts of the field, 8 The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

This is the universal cry of the human heart to discover the meaning of life and why man is here on this earth. This has been a question sought out for thousands of years by people of every race and location. Something is built into man at creation that longs for answers to these questions that have originated deep within man. This searching for reality is even found in primitive tribes that have had no contact with Christians or the intellectual world.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God, or give thanks; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,

Every man that rejects God’s Plan and His Purpose for himself is without excuse because there is a special “knowing” within man that is crying out for a certain reality that is evident to him. He doesn’t know how he knows but he just knows! This is NOT because he was raised in a certain way by believing parents. This “knowing” is intrinsic and is known by persons regardless of where or how they were born. It is by this intrinsic knowledge that God draws us into His Light.

John 6:42 And they were saying, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, ‘I have come down out of heaven’?” 43 Jesus answered and said to them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 “No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. 45 “It is written in the prophets, ‘AND THEY SHALL ALL BE TAUGHT OF GOD.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.

God, by His sovereignty, must first draw us to Jesus because everything concerning the New Covenant begins with Him and His sacrifice on Calvary. “I will forgive their sins and their iniquity I will remember no more” can only come to us through the sacrifice of the Man, Christ Jesus. Then, “in this primary realm” we shall see at least something eternal in this measure of His Light. Until this happens experientially we cannot hear or learn much more from that realm.

Now our very first experience of being “taught of God” is in this primary realm of being drawn to Jesus as the Savior who died for our sins. God is always DRAWING someone to Himself and when that “someone” responds to God in humility and repentance, God DRAWS that person into the primary experiences. God has certain ministers to help that person achieve the primary experiences and develop an inner life. If the “ministries” can not at least do that much to help a new believer into the primary experiences they are NOT real ministers. The “primary experiences” are seen in the Tabernacle Graphic as what we refer to as the seven Outer Court Experiences. We also call these the Seven preparations of the Priests of God. Since the Kingdom IS a Kingdom of Priests these are also preparations for entering into the Kingdom of God.

Of course God is always Sovereign as He draws us from one experience to another and from one realm of understanding to another. Why is this important? Because we must finish our “beginning” development in each realm before He will draw us to the next. AFTER each primary experience there is a continual developing stage that must follow! This is clear in water baptism and in the baptism of the Holy Spirit! This is also true of our consecration and it is clear that our consecration is unfolding in each of the various realms. Even our basic salvation is progressive until we come to our final Salvation. Each realm requires a new consecration. That means that our consecration is always in a developing state. However, without the primary consecration of giving ourselves to God as a living sacrifice there will be NO continuing consecration

Therefore, in summation, we conclude that ; each of the seven Outer Court primary experiences are essential just to begin to demonstrate the Christian Life. We are speculating that since we don’t see the Church He is building until we see it in the Holy Place that this is the realm that we see the Christian life manifested in any fulness. Why? Because the Lampstand Church IS in the Holy Place! The Kingdom / Christian Life then is manifested as the Priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek.

After the primary drawing, God must continue to draw us from one reality and experience to the next. For that reason there should be a continual cry from man to experience the next reality of God. What we are finding now is that people have no idea why they are confused and frustrated or what this unexplainable inner cry really means.

“And they shall all be taught of God” is progressive as we develop from one dimension to another! These “dimensions” are seen in the progression of preparation of the Priests in the Tabernacle of Moses. We see graphically the advancing experiences as the priests were prepared to enter in to minister to God in the Holy Place and then to become His minister to do His will in whatever He chooses.

At each stage of growth we can scripturally expect God to continue to teach us! However, He is NOT teaching us about the mysteries that have been hidden from past generations when we are still babes and just beginning our development. Even Paul knew where to stop in his teaching when the believers had not grown to a place where they could receive further teaching. Of course he was disappointed that he was not able to share deeper spiritual truths with them because they remained in the primary state of growth. Paul, obviously, knew that these “believers” were predestined to grow up in all things into Christ but someone failed these believers in Corinth and the Hebrews and they remained as babes. In our evaluation, the same thing is happening today and new believers are apparently being neglected in their spiritual growth and the visible church fails to manifest Christ in His fulness. Why?

The emphasis today is nearly wholly upon “winning new souls” rather than developing the babes into children and then into young men and fathers. How can we know that certain ministries have failed? This is clear when there are NO young men who are strong, the Word of God abides in them and they have overcome the evil one. When there are no “young men” being developed in the assembly we know someone has failed. If the assembly is just remaining as babes or children we know someone has failed. If no “fathers” are being developed we know someone in the “ministry” has failed.

1John 2:12 I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. 13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father. 14 I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

In just these verses we can identify several areas that require different dimensions of “crying out to God” for more. The first “cry” is for forgiveness of sins and to have peace with God and to be saved from the wrath of God. That is certainly valid but today we find many others “crying out to God” for much more and to experience new realms of God’s Presence and His discipline and teaching and to receive revelations and to know the mysteries of God.

Within those seven Outer Court experiences each have their own realms of “crying out” and the twelve provisions of the New Covenant have their own realm of “crying out to God” for a greater assurance that we have NOT fallen behind in our growth. Some are just “crying out” for someone to come and teach them what is lacking and how to move into the next realms of the Kingdom reality.

Exo 14:15 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward.

Mat 9:27 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, and saying, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

Mat 21:9 And the multitudes going before Him, and those who followed after were crying out, saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David; BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Hosanna in the highest!”

Mat 21:15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that He had done, and the children who were crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they became indignant,

Luke 4:41 And demons also were coming out of many, crying out and saying, “You are the Son of God!” And rebuking them, He would not allow them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ.

Luke 18:39 And those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Luke 23:46 And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, INTO THY HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT.” And having said this, He breathed His last.

There are many different realms where people are crying out to God and for many different reasons. What we are finding today is a multitude crying out to God to set them free from a system that is not or can NOT take them on into realms of God that are known intrinsically. Obviously God is actively drawing them because there is a great hunger within them to find that certain reality that defines the next dimension, regardless of where they are in their eternal development. At each stage they KNOW there is more. How? God is drawing them and they are trying to respond but just don’t know how or what that means. Why is that so predominate today? It must be because the present ministries have failed them or cannot understand what the problem is.

This is what is the response of the “ministries”; Are you not saved? How can you get more than saved? Why are you tormenting us with your fantasies? Just sit in the pew and don’t cause problems or I will set your name before the board of elders as a trouble maker! God has set me here as the Pastor so you must submit to my guidance and be satisfied! Otherwise you must leave and go trouble someone else with this fantasy of “We want more”. There is no more!

But, sir, the Bible says that out of my belly will flow rivers of living water and I am just not experiencing that! Well, I am the Pastor and I have greater things to worry about than water from your belly! Maybe you should just go to where you can find that water and stop criticizing us!

One of the saddest things today is to find men whom someone has laid hands on and gave them the title of Apostle or Prophet and they are so immature that they don’t know that ONLY Jesus can appoint these ministries in the Church He is Building. Many are looking for reality today but they are NOT finding it in these counterfeit “five-fold ministries.” Men appoint “ministries” over churches that men are building. They want to select men with their own vision. Therefore, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Jesus wants to set “the ministries” in the Church He Is Building! After we are able to identify which church is visible which is Eternal we will better understand the cry of the New Inner Man for reality.

The “church that men are building” has about run its course and is rapidly losing its relevance in the minds of many who are crying out for reality. The larger the “church that men are building” becomes, the less relevant it becomes because even fewer come to maturity. Finding silver, gold and precious stones in these huge assemblies becomes more difficult. However, the exact same thing is true in the small assemblies. Therefore, the defect is not just in size but in vision, purpose and design. Whether this church system is large or small is not the problem. Like the Tower of Babel they are building an earthly structure with a heavenly purpose, to get to heaven someday. In my opinion God is not excited about what men are building. God still wants to be sovereign over both the design and the building process. He wants to choose His own building material instead of accepting the adobe that men prefer. It seems reasonable to me that the Pure Gold Lampstand Church, which is only found in the Holy Place, reasonably explains the plan, purpose and the requirements of God. Since the Lampstand Church is obviously the one that Jesus is building we might wonder why anyone would waste their time trying to build with anything EXCEPT Gold and Precious Stones.

Rev 1:20 “As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Rev 2:1 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in

His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this:

If Jesus is building His Church and everything in that realm is developing nicely, how do we escape from the visible church into the one He is Building? First we need to understand that the Church He is Building is NOT seeker friendly. In that Lampstand Church you either get with the eternal program or you will be vomited out of His body. These two kinds of churches {the one men are building and the one He is building} are nothing alike. In the one men are building you can do all the things that are unacceptable in Revelation 2 & 3 and still be a good member or even be the Pastor. The things that are violently opposed by God are acceptable to men. Are these men just stupid? No! They are just following the church system that was established by Constantine in the 4 th century. But why don’t they graduate to the church He is building? Because in that church the “pastors” are condemned for their lukewarmness along with everyone else. They also lose control of the people. Jesus addresses the church as one entity including the “ministries.” He see HIMSELF as the one who is to be obeyed. He just doesn’t see a divided priesthood/ministry. He see one church as one entity with all members responsible to Him. He doesn’t see “ministries” as separate from the church. He speaks DIRECTLY to each church as a corporate group! This deviates from the church system that is established today where the “ministry” decides for the corporate group. It is assumed that because of that position, the “ministries” have a special relationship with God so he communicates with them instead of with the church.

The picture is this; AFTER the believers enter into the realm of the Lampstand Church they no longer need man to teach them because they shall ALL be taught by God. In this dimension all believers are equal and are all {including the ministries} addressed as one entity. Read carefully Revelation 2 and 3.

My conclusion is this; Not all who are crying out to God today realize what they are asking for in terms of responsibility, requirements and discipline. It is obvious that anyone who just wants to continue doing their own thing and be independent will NOT be happy in the Lampstand Church Realm! In that realm everybody MUST deal directly with the King Of Glory and the High Priest after the Order of Melchizedek. Those who still want to negotiate for a lesser life style than is reflected in Revelation 2 and 3 had better just stay in the Outer Court dimension.

Some, after 30 years in natural light, just want more of the natural things found in natural light but it appears that God is resisting those people. Their vision is still; Just let me speak in tongues and give prophesy and act spiritual and sing some new songs. If we just worship God I think He will be happy and bless us.

Most of us know that “worship” in the Outer Court realm has about run its course. Those who are “crying out” for TRUE WORSHIP are seeking for the realm of Spirit and Truth. Even “high” worship today falls short of worshiping the Father in Spirit and Truth. We really know VERY little about Incense Altar Worship but we know about running, jumping, singing and dancing. Since that no longer is exciting many are crying out for more reality in singing and worship. Many now are recognizing that wild drums, heavy beat, loud music and celebrity singers is getting more offensive.

The intrinsic desire now is to “know God” in a real, personal way that cannot be experienced in any natural way or in natural light. Since God is Spirit He can only be known by the New Inner Man and by another realm of revelation beyond the intellectual realm.

Heb 8:11 “AND THEY SHALL NOT TEACH EVERYONE HIS FELLOW CITIZEN, AND EVERYONE HIS BROTHER, SAYING, ‘KNOW THE LORD,’ FOR ALL SHALL KNOW ME, FROM THE LEAST TO THE GREATEST OF THEM.

This is not just because man will not teach us to know God but that it is impossible for man to teach us to know God. Many thought that if we learn a little each Sunday that after several months we will learn to “know God.” No! This realm of “knowing God” is only within the New Covenant Provision and is the result of having a New Inner Man that can, at last, receive revelation and “know God” by a different kind of inner knowing.

The learned and intellectual type of teaching has assumed that this was the ONLY way of knowing God by accumulating more and more information about God. This kind of “knowing” has been so superficial that it can now be evaluated as a complete failure. Only God can teach us to “know Him” because He is Spirit and cannot be known by mechanical means or systems of theology.

AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE precedes the “teaching” us to know Him. This realm of teaching / knowledge is ONLY by God within the promise of the New Covenant and is this; They shall ALL be taught by God. Since this level of teaching is just found in the Holy Place we can assume that the Holy Place is the Realm of the New Covenant. This may explain the specific emphasis upon the New Covenant / Kingdom that we hear today.
